This is a delightful dessert on a hot summer day. My Mom use to have a large strawberry patch when I was a young adult. This was her version of Strawberry Shortcake. Of course she used fresh berries, but since I take the easy way out, I used frozen strawberries in syrup.

In honor of my former mother-in-law who passed away on Monday. She use to make these ribs every New Years Eve. I would have never thought to boil ribs and then bake them. I added the seasoning to mine because I like a little bit of kick. These are so good, I ate almost the whole rack.

This dish reminded me of a boiled dinner with a bit of a kick. The flavor from the sausage and bacon is incorporated into the potatoes. I served this dish with Irish Soda Bread with Raisins. I will definitely be making this again.

The four basic food groups: meat, pasta, sauce and cheese. You can't really go wrong when a recipe has all four of those as ingredients. These were great, I added some fresh diced mushrooms as well and sauteed them with the garlic. Next time I make these I would use more sauce in the meat mixture.

I love patty melts. I remember the first time I had one, it wasn't until my teen years, after we had already moved to the Midwest. I didn't have any rye bread so I compromised with the garlic toast. Butter, onions, meat and cheese . . . Who needs rye?

Growing up in Rhode Island, this is the only "hot dog" we ever ate. It's really nothing like a typical hot dog. The wiener has a natural casing on it and comes in a long string like sausage. This particular wiener is obviously not available here in the Midwest so I used a regular wiener. The sauce is cooked for hours and the wiener must be assembled in the correct order to make it authentic "all the way". The bun must be steamed as well. I love recipes like this that bring me back a few years.

I've never had Panera Bread's version of this soup so I'm not sure how it compares. I know this was very good and hearty, the sharp cheddar that I used really complimented the bland creaminess of the cauliflower.

I don't ever recall a time in my life that I did not like liver and onions. My earliest recollection of eating liver and onions was when I was about 10 years old. My uncle Mike cooked it for me and I have a very vivid memory of watching him cook. I'd almost rather have liver and onions over a good steak, almost!

I always serve mashed potatoes with meatloaf so why not put them together. The sweet sauce under the potatoes compliments the cheese and drizzle on top. I don't mean to brag but my meatloaf is the bomb!

This is my daughter's recipe. It's a favorite for her family of 7. With the 3 pounds of creamy cheese, the kids will barely notice the vegetables. Very filling meal, great for cold evenings or potlucks.
