My taste buds have graduated from Orange Chicken to General Tso's Chicken recently. I like the sweetness of it mixed with the heat of the red pepper. This is my new meat compliment to a chow mein noodle dish. You like it hot?

I love noodles with vegetables from all cuisines. I've never had peanut sauce before so I was determined to put this dish together. I was not disappointed, the nuttiness of the peanut sauce and the crunch of the vegetables were the combination I was looking for.

I love lo mein at the local buffet but I'm not real fond of the vegetable to noodle ratio that they have. I do love my vegetables. Since I am not able to find the correct type of noodle for this dish, I compromised with ramen noodles. It was delicious and loaded with veggies.

I love Panda Express, and my favorite dish to get from them is the orange chicken with a side of "chow mein". In my opinion what they call chow mein is actually lo mein. The chow mein that I make is a wetter dish with more vegetables and served over crispy noodles. Oh call it what you may, this "chow mein" copycat recipe was so close to the real thing, except the noodles. I know that is a big part of the dish but the vegetable to noodle ratio was correct and the flavor was right on. I thought the noodles were too soft and soggy.

I usually make a big batch of these and freeze them in individual bags to use later for stir fry. I throw them in the wok frozen and by the time the veggies are cooked the teriyaki beef strips are heated through.

This dish was pretty good, my lemon sauce was not very yellow so I added a drop of food coloring. I wanted my lemon chicken to look lemony, I may have over done it.

I was trying to replicate the bacon flavored noodles that are on the chinese buffer here in town. After diligently searching the internet for the past couple of months, this is the closest I could fine. The dish was quite similar to that I get at the buffet and the hot dogs added that smoked flavor as well.
