I've always liked rice pudding, even as a kid. I had some rice left from my sister's birthday dinner, and everything else needed for this recipe I had on hand. This is an inexpensive, quick and easy dessert when you're craving something sweet.

This dish was amazing. I've never really been found of bell peppers until I quit smoking a little over a year ago. The spiciness of the sausage, the sweetness of the caramelized onions tossed with the colorful peppers and noodles was a party full of flavors. I gave most of it to my Mom and they loved it. I will definitely be making this again.

This is a very plain and simple macaroni salad. This is how my mom always made it. This dish goes great with a barbequed or grilled meat.

A blend of baked potatoes and mashed potatoes. I use to make these all the time to bring to the lake. You can make them up ahead of time and if you'd like to place them on the grill just wrap them in foil after you stuff them. Then again if you grill them, they wouldn't be "twice baked". Call them what you may, I call them delicious!

This dish reminded me of a boiled dinner with a bit of a kick. The flavor from the sausage and bacon is incorporated into the potatoes. I served this dish with Irish Soda Bread with Raisins. I will definitely be making this again.

I've mixed the alfredo and spaghetti sauce before and I wanted the crispness of the corn as well. This was great and a quick way to throw together a tasty meal. I served it with the Olive Garden Breadsticks.

I love lo mein at the local buffet but I'm not real fond of the vegetable to noodle ratio that they have. I do love my vegetables. Since I am not able to find the correct type of noodle for this dish, I compromised with ramen noodles. It was delicious and loaded with veggies.

The four basic food groups: meat, pasta, sauce and cheese. You can't really go wrong when a recipe has all four of those as ingredients. These were great, I added some fresh diced mushrooms as well and sauteed them with the garlic. Next time I make these I would use more sauce in the meat mixture.

I love Panda Express, and my favorite dish to get from them is the orange chicken with a side of "chow mein". In my opinion what they call chow mein is actually lo mein. The chow mein that I make is a wetter dish with more vegetables and served over crispy noodles. Oh call it what you may, this "chow mein" copycat recipe was so close to the real thing, except the noodles. I know that is a big part of the dish but the vegetable to noodle ratio was correct and the flavor was right on. I thought the noodles were too soft and soggy.

I first had pierogies about 10 years ago when my mother-in-law made them. Her family drizzled browned butter over them before serving. I was not really fond of the browned butter, I thought they would be better with white gravy over them. I guess I've been living in the Midwest for too long. These are pierogies without all the work. The onions are a must if you are an onion fan.
