Two tours to Iraq and both times my son returned home, this is the first thing he wanted me to cook for him. Silly boy! I used to make these little breakfast sandwiches for my kids all the time. They are quick, tasty and can be consumed on the go. All three of my children have continued the tradition of making these for their families. The dipping sauce was added recently to my recipe, as was the term "slider".

I love smoked oysters and oyster stew however, I have never had them fried. I wanted to make a Cajun dish for Mardi Gras but did not have a lot of time this year. So after searching the net, this was about the easiest thing I could come up with for Mardi Gras. I even picked up these cute Mardi Gras plates for $1 this morning.

I love egg salad and eat it at least twice a month. When you get tired of the same old lunch meat and cheese sandwich, whip up a batch of this. If you are watching your carbs, serve this on a bed of lettuce instead of toast.

I will definitely be making these again. I made a batch of pulled pork in the crockpot and I usually just add the bbq sauce to it before freezing in individual bags. This time my pork roast was rather large so I decided to come up with other things to make besides the bbq pulled pork.

A perfect example of my very odd taste buds. This would also be good served over a bed of rice with some stir fry veggies. I think I'm going to put some of the left overs in my salad tomorrow with some crispy rice noodles too.

Schlotzsky's is a chain based sandwich shop which originated in Austin, TX. The Original sandwich consists of a sourdough bun, with deli meats, cheeses and marinated black olives. The taste of this sandwich is very unique and I am very pleased that this copycat recipe nailed it.
